Excursion 1: One day trip to Chamonix (France)
Chamonix, known as “the gateway to the European Cascades” is one of the most famous mountain villages at the foot of the majestic Mont Blanc. Chamonix is famous for its spectacular cable car up to the “Aiguille du Midi” 3,842 m (12,605 ft.) height. Constructed in 1955, it was then the highest cable car in the world.
Visit the “Mer de Glace” (sea ice) which is a glacier located on the northern slopes of the Mont-Blanc massif, in the Alps. At 7 kilometers (4.3 mi) long and 200 meters (660 ft.) deep, it is the longest glacier in France.
Excursion 2: Salève cable-car (half-day)
Salève, 1379 meters is a mountain of the “Préalpes” situated in the department of the Haute-Savoie (France). It’s also called the « balcony of Geneva » because the Salève offers several points of panoramic views over the region of the Lake of Geneva.
Transfer by limousine or bus from your hotel to the Salève cable car, which brings you right to the top of the mountain. Enjoy the many stunning viewpoints and have a small walk in the Botanical Trail and/or the Biological Corridors. Have a good meal at the restaurant “L’Horizon” which offers quality, seasonal menu with a vast choice of salads and local Savoyard and Genève’s produce.
All of this in a magnificent 1930s setting. After your visit, the cable car brings you downhill where the limousine or bus is waiting to take you back to the hotel.
Excursion 3: One-day excursion to visit Montreux and Chateau de Chillon -– one of Switzerland’s most famous monuments.
Then "Wonderful Alpine scenery" 2-hours cruise on Lake Geneva with lunch on board or transfer to Lausanne to visit the second-largest city on Lake Geneva. In Lausanne visit the Olympic Museum - the world’s largest information center about the Olympic Games.
