Discover the beauty of Switzerland when travelling in the comfortable panoramic coaches of the Golden Pass Line. During the tour, you will enjoy a panoramic view of the most attractive countryside in Switzerland.
The landscape, through which the GoldenPass line passes, is characterised by its richness and diversity. The GoldenPass Line links Lucerne, which is the historic heart of Switzerland, to Montreux and the Vaud Riviera. The line is divided into three parts so you can choose the most convenient route and length of your spectacular trip: Montreux-Zweisimmen (travel time 1.50 hours), Zweisimmen-Interlaken Ost (travel time 1.10 hours), Interlaken Ost-Lucerne (travel time 2 hours).
Climb aboard the panorama coaches of the GoldenPass Line and take a final look at Lake Geneva on the journey through the vineyards above Montreux. Pass through the tunnel and then enjoy the view of black fir trees, fast-flowing streams and green pastures with grazing cows. Cosy chalets in the valley and on the slopes, above them peaks crowned with crags: the Saanenland, then the Simmen Valley. Change of trains in Zweisimmen. And Lake Thun soon comes into view. You are travelling to Interlaken where you will see the most famous mountains in Switzerland – Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
Then you travel along Lake Brienz to Meiringen where the train starts to climb uphill, onto the Brünig Pass, and from there down to central Switzerland. Once again, mountain air, pastures, cows. There’s still Lake Lungern and Lake Sarnen to see on your descent, and then Lake Alpnach. You have reached the very heart of Switzerland. Lake Lucerne already awaits you after the short tunnel. Lucerne is just around the corner…
